"Impressions art is composed of photography initially reduced into abstraction, leaving but an imprint of the captured thematic essence. The focus is transferred from the figure to the emotional cadence its impression evokes," says Arline Malakian, fine art photographer.
Each piece is composed of a single take, and deconstructed until its bare emotive impression is pronounced in the abstract. Images are no longer communicating linear context, but are infused to evoke a thematic continuity that aligns with a subsequent direction.
