With his vibrant and whimsical artworks, artist Eric Deshaies stimulates our imagination by letting shapes and colors evoke emotion, while creating lighthearted moments.

His creations come to life with liquid pigments of color mixed with an acrylic base.  His process, using both matt and shiny mediums, imparts various tones of hues depending on the light and exposure.  By using a variety of pigments, the canvas is filled with movement, color &  texture.

Eric's influences are many, driven by masters like Picasso,Van Gogh, Klimt and Magritte. He's also informed by the works of the modern abstract artists like Jackson Pollock, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and more recently Corno, Banksy & Laca.  He's even inspired by the enigmatic Rorschach ink illustrations.

Eric hails from Ste. Hyacinthe Quebec, a small city located about an hour away from Montreal, where he works and maintains a studio.
